Corniche Hospital food services department receives high recognition

Abu Dhabi, 23, June 2012: Corniche
Hospital's food services department has received the prestigious "A
level facility" certificate for quality and cleanliness from the
Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA). The award was presented
to Sara
Ali Al Amri, Corniche Hospital's food
services manager, at a ceremony that recognized the Emirate's
outstanding food establishments, held at Holiday Inn, Abu Dhabi on
11th of June.

deputy chief executive officer, Dr. Mariam Al Mazrouei. "This award
is testimony to Corniche's mission, and part of our hospital's
commitment to patient safety"
The
ADFCA's recognition program reviewed the work of 6,000 food
establishments in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The goal was to
raise awareness of food safety, and to reinforce a commitment to
high standards of quality and hygiene among suppliers in all stages
of food handling including storage, preparation, processing,
cooking, training, and documentation.
"ADFCA
used stringent criteria while inspecting our food facilities. From
the raw materials to the food that reaches the consumer's
table, ADFCA ensures that we carry out the proper sanitary and
safety measures at every step. This honor recognizes our
staff's efforts and we are very proud of this achievement," said
Sara Ali Al Amri.
Corniche Hospital is owned and operated by Abu Dhabi Health
Services Company (SEHA) and is managed by Johns Hopkins Medicine
International in Baltimore, USA.
